An Invitation

Bibley received a letter in the post a few days ago.  She looked a bit worried.

Oh this is interesting, she's been selected to participate in some Covid-19 research and she signed up.

The letter said that if she was successful in selection, she'd get the home test after 26th June.  Well, the test arrived four days later.

So on the 22nd June, she took the test.  She read through all the paperwork and discovered she'd have to get some of her blood - ha ha ha, she couldn't do it and had to ask Richard to prick her finger, which he happily did with a smile.

We all had to wait 10 minutes and no longer than 15 minutes, so we split the difference and waited 12 minutes.  The result you see came through within a minute and didn't change.  It was a negative result.

Another Spa Day

Day at the Spa

Oh, we like these, just us girls.

It was last year now, but we've just got around to blogging it.

We started off with Bucks Fizz and canapes when we arrived and then Bib had a massage and then we decided to have a read.

It was then lunch and what a sumptuous meal it was and this was the best bit - the pudding (without cream)

(with cream)

After lunch we had a snooze before Bib had her feet done.

Apparently, she had cream massaged into her feet and these strange things were warm and she had to sit like this for 20 minutes before having the cream scrapped off.  Her feet wherever so soft afterwards.

It was then time for coffee and chocolate before going home.

Another relaxing day at the Spa.

A Weekend Away

Sir Ted and Tulip said they wanted to stay at home to enjoy the weather and the peace and quiet.  I don't know what they mean !!!!!

We are going on an adventure - YAY.

We were dropped off at the train station cos we're going to Brighton to see friends.

Vicky kindly said she would pick us up from the station and we go back to hers for a cuppa.  Beanie was in the car as well to meet us, which was a nice surprise.

After that we all went out into town, had a wander and then it was time for coffee and cayke.

You have to watch that Beanie when it comes to cayke, especially salted caramel cayke.  That was very yumtastic.

We had a table booked, but were too early to go in, so we stopped off at a pub (I know, it's not our usual !!!) called the Wick I think.  We all had one of these, strawberry gin and tonic.

As you can see I really enjoyed that drink.

Then it was off to somewhere Bib has always wanted to go - THE GIN TUB - hurraaaayyy.

You sit down and look at the menu and then you phone the bar with your order, it's brilliant.  Bib had Edinburgh gin, flavoured with pomegranate and rose, she said she thinks that Edinburgh gin is her favourite so far.  Well, I can understand that, it was rather scrummy.

We only had one drink here, cos our table was ready at the restaurant, a short walk to Ashoka Indian, one of the nicest Indian meals Bib's had.  As you can see Vicky enjoyed it - he he !!!

 Until next time .....

A Day at the Spa

We had a spa day at Beauty Cocktail near Horsham, but just for us girlies, so lovely, quiet and relaxing with good friends providing good company.

We arrived and had Champagne and canapes, and after this Bib had a massage.  When she came out, she was completely spaced out.  Apparently this is a good thing because it shows that it was a very good massage.

We then went and sat in the garden and had a read.

It was very comfy.

Then it was time for lunch !!! 😄

Bib didn't take pictures of the main course cos she was too busy eating and drinking wine !!!

But she did manage to photo her second slice of coffee and walnut cake !!! 😄

We were so stuffed after lunch that we needed to have a sleep, so we did.

Eventually waking up in time for coffee and chocolates and then it was time to leave.

What a great day we all had.

A Posh Parcel Arrived

A Parcel was Delivered

Oooohhh look what arrived for Bibley.  She wasn't in so her neighbour Ann took it in (Ann thinks we're posh now!!!).

Bib said she didn't order anything from Harrods, but said she knew a parcel was winging its way to her.  She was told by Beanie that she needed to open it cos it may need to go in the fridge, so she had to open it.

This looks very interesting

Cool, what a lovely box, what's inside?  Go on ....... open it, go on .........

Three things to unwrap, one each, that means Bib doesn't get anything!!!
(Hey you lot, the parcel was addressed to me you know)

Look at all that wrapping for the three jars of stuff.

That Beanie is soooo naughty, cos you only need to put them in the fridge once they've been opened.

Naughty mouse.

And there was a card too.

Thank you to all of you named in Bib's card, Bib was really happy.

Typical of Rattie, it just had to be done.

Until next time Ratters .......

A Lovely Day Out

Last Friday Bibley said we're going out for a special day and meeting up with some special friends.

Well, we ended up in London and met up with Beanie and his gang.

We saw this taxi café that has been restored.

We ended up here.

Bib said we're off to see her hero - Winnie the Pooh.

And did you know, that his name is Edward Bear too.

Here's some pictures that Bib took.

And here is a printing block (we were allowed to touch it) and the print.

That was a brilliant exhibition.

This is a glass sculpture in the entrance of the V and A by Dale Chihuly.

All that walking round has made us all hungry so we went to a restaurant that Auntie Andrea knows and had pizza.

And pudding.

And then we popped into Horrids for a bit.

We saw these Easter eggs and we all wanted one !!!

We then had to say goodbye as it was time to go home, but it was a fantastic day out.
